How to Track Forms on Squarespace
Use this guide to track common Squarespace conversions with PixelFlow. For most sites, the best setup is automatic commerce tracking for store events, Event URLs for thank-you pages, and Visual Tagger for forms or buttons that need on-page tracking.
Remove the native Meta Pixel first. PixelFlow loads both your Meta Pixel and Conversions API with deduplication built in. If Squarespace is still loading its own Meta Pixel, you can get duplicate events and bad reporting.
Open the Meta Pixel & Ads panel in Squarespace.
Clear the Pixel ID field.
Save your changes.
Before you start, install PixelFlow with the Squarespace Setup guide.
Track form submissions with thank-you pages
The most reliable way to track a Squarespace form is to redirect successful submissions to a dedicated thank-you page, then fire an event with Event URLs.
Create a thank-you page in Squarespace and keep it out of your main navigation.
Edit the form block and set Post-Submit to Redirect.
Enter the thank-you page URL.
In PixelFlow, add that URL as an event in Event URLs.
Update the script on your Squarespace site and publish.
Submit the form on your live site and confirm the event appears in the Events Log.
This method works well for contact forms, quote requests, newsletter signups, and other forms that end on a unique confirmation page.
Track forms and buttons with Visual Tagger
Use Visual Tagger when you want to track an on-page interaction without editing code. This is the recommended option for Squarespace when a thank-you page is not a good fit.
Open your site in the PixelFlow dashboard.
Click Track More Events.
Select Via Visual Tagger.
Choose the form submit button or page element you want to track.
Select the Meta event and save the trigger.
For forms, Visual Tagger can also capture visible user details such as name, email, phone number, or a fixed value to improve event match quality.
