Event Classes on Webflow

How to label specific elements on your Webflow website and assign events to them

For information on how to track events by assign a specific event to a particular URL, follow this guide.

To tag specific elements on your website that you'd like to track, follow the guide below.

Note its possible for us to automatically extract your eCommerce data from your Webflow checkout and order confirmation pages - this will send the following enriched event data to Meta automatically:

  • for Initiate Checkout: currency, num_items, value

  • for Purchase: content_type, currency, num_items, value

To do this, select the appropriate event from the dropdown (Initiate Checkout or Purchase), and ensure “Extract data automatically” is turned on.

How to Use Event Classes on Webflow

Add the class from the Classes Document to that particular element in Webflow.

For example, if you want to track a “Subscribe” event everytime someone clicks on a specific “Subscribe” button on your website, you would copy the “Subscribe” class (action-btn-sub-002-pf) from the list and add it to the class for that specific button on your Webflow site:
