Remove the TikTok Pixel from Squarespace

Remove a separately installed TikTok Pixel from your Squarespace site by deleting the TikTok Pixel code from Code Injection. Keep PixelFlow installed: it fires your TikTok Pixel and Conversions API for you, so any other copy of the pixel on your site causes duplicate events.

Remove the TikTok Pixel code from Code Injection

Squarespace has no built-in TikTok Pixel panel, so a TikTok Pixel on your site was added manually. Delete it from these areas:

1. Go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection.

2. In the Header field, delete only the TikTok Pixel code. It loads a script from analytics.tiktok.com and contains identifiers like ttq, TiktokAnalyticsObject, and ttq.load.

3. Check the Order Confirmation Page field and delete any TikTok Pixel code there.

4. If a pixel was added to individual pages, open each page's Page Header Code Injection and remove the code.

5. Click Save.

Check Google Tag Manager

If the pixel may still be firing through Google Tag Manager, pause or delete the TikTok Pixel tags (and any TikTok Events tags) in your container, then republish. Keep the PixelFlow snippet, or the PixelFlow GTM setup you already use.

Turn off automatic event tracking in TikTok

TikTok's automatic events setting is called Auto event setup. In TikTok Ads Manager, go to Tools → Events → Manage Web Events, select your pixel, open Settings, and make sure Auto event setup is off. This feature is in beta, only available to a limited number of advertisers, and TikTok is phasing it out, so it may not appear in your account.

Verify the pixel is gone

1. Install the TikTok Pixel Helper browser extension.

2. Visit your live site in an incognito window.

3. Confirm no TikTok pixel events fire on the page.

You do not need to delete the Pixel inside TikTok Events Manager. PixelFlow still uses that Pixel; you only removed the second copy from your website. To reconnect or check your setup, see How to Connect Your TikTok Pixel & Conversions API.
