Remove the TikTok Pixel from WordPress

Remove the TikTok Pixel from WordPress by deleting the code wherever it was added: most commonly in a header/footer plugin, the theme editor, or a widget. PixelFlow loads the TikTok Pixel and Events API for you, so any second copy of the pixel on your site causes duplicate events. Remove code from a header/footer plugin

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer (or the equivalent area for your plugin, such as Insert Headers and Footers by WPCode).

2. Delete the TikTok Pixel code from the Header box. Look for ttq, analytics.tiktok.com, or a Pixel Code hardcoded in a script tag.

3. Click Save Changes.

Remove code from the theme editor

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Editor.

2. Open Patterns → All template parts.

3. Edit the active header or footer template part.

4. Delete the Custom HTML block that contains the TikTok Pixel code.

5. Save the template.

Remove code from a widget

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Widgets (or the widget area where the code was placed).

2. Find the Custom HTML widget containing the TikTok Pixel code.

3. Delete the widget or remove the code from it.

4. Save.

Remove a TikTok or ads plugin

If a TikTok, Pixel, or ads plugin injects the pixel code, go to Plugins → Installed Plugins and either disable the plugin's Pixel feature or uninstall the plugin. Do not uninstall the PixelFlow plugin.

Check TikTok's Auto event setup

In TikTok Ads Manager, go to Tools → Events → Manage Web Events, select your pixel, and open Settings to check Auto event setup. Make sure it is turned off. TikTok offers this setting in beta to a limited number of advertisers and is phasing it out.

Verify the pixel is gone

1. Install the TikTok Pixel Helper browser extension.

2. Visit your live site in an incognito window.

3. Confirm no TikTok pixel events fire on the page.
