Remove the Facebook Pixel from Squarespace
Remove the Facebook or Meta Pixel from Squarespace by clearing the built-in Pixel ID or deleting the code from Code Injection.
Remove the built-in Pixel ID
In your Squarespace admin, open the Meta Pixel & Ads panel.
Delete the contents of the Pixel ID field.
Save the changes.
After you clear the Pixel ID, Facebook will no longer track new visitor data from your site, but past events remain in Facebook Events Manager.
Remove code from Code Injection
If you added the pixel manually, delete it from these areas:
Go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection.
In the Header field, delete only the pixel code that begins and ends with
<!-- Meta Pixel Code -->.Check the Order Confirmation Page field and delete any similar pixel code there.
If the pixel is on individual pages, open each page’s Page Header Code Injection and remove the code.
Click Save.
Only delete the pixel code. Removing other code in the Header field can break customizations.
Check Google Tag Manager
If you see a red error when removing the Pixel ID, the pixel may still be firing through Google Tag Manager. Remove the pixel tag from GTM and republish.
Turn off automatic event tracking in Meta
Go into your pixel in events manager, click settings, scroll to Track events automatically without code and ensure its turned off.
Verify the pixel is gone
Install the Facebook Pixel Helper browser extension.
Visit your live site in an incognito window.
Confirm no pixel events fire on the page.
