Remove the Facebook Pixel from WordPress
Remove the Facebook or Meta Pixel from WordPress by deleting the code wherever it was added—most commonly in a header/footer plugin, the theme editor, or a widget.
Remove code from a header/footer plugin
In your WordPress admin, go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer (or the equivalent area for your plugin, such as Insert Headers and Footers by WPCode).
Delete the Meta Pixel code from the Header box.
Click Save Changes.
Remove code from the theme editor
In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Editor.
Open Patterns → All template parts.
Edit the active header or footer template part.
Delete the Custom HTML block that contains the pixel code.
Save the template.
Remove code from a widget
In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Widgets (or the widget area where the code was placed).
Find the Custom HTML widget containing the pixel code.
Delete the widget or remove the code from it.
Save.
Remove a Meta plugin
If you installed the pixel via the Meta for WordPress plugin (formerly Facebook for WordPress), disable or uninstall the plugin from Plugins → Installed Plugins.
Turn off automatic event tracking in Meta
Go into your pixel in events manager, click settings, scroll to Track events automatically without code and ensure its turned off.
Verify the pixel is gone
Install the Facebook Pixel Helper browser extension.
Visit your live site in an incognito window.
Confirm no pixel events fire on the page.
It can take up to 20 minutes for Meta to stop reporting activity after you remove the code.
