What Events Can PixelFlow Track?
PixelFlow tracks actions people take on your website and sends them to each Ad Platform you have connected (Meta, TikTok, or both).
By default, PixelFlow records a PageView when someone visits your site. You add more event types by labeling an element, assigning a URL, using the visual tagger, or using event classes.
One trigger fans out to every Pixel on that Site. You do not pick Meta or TikTok per trigger.
What happens when an Ad Platform does not support an event
PixelFlow does not drop the event quietly.
The event still appears in PixelFlow (Event Logs, journeys, Last event, and revenue rules when that type counts as revenue).
Event pickers stay selectable and show a coverage badge per Ad Platform.
The Ad Platform that cannot receive that type is skipped, with an explanation. The other Ad Platform still receives it.
Events PixelFlow can track
You need to set up tracking for these (except PageView, which is automatic):
Event | What it means | Meta | TikTok |
|---|---|---|---|
PageView | Someone visits a page | Sent as PageView | Sent as Pageview (TikTok's page-view name) |
ViewContent | Product page or important content | Sent | Sent |
Purchase | A transaction completes | Sent | Sent |
Add Payment Info | Payment details are entered | Sent | Sent |
Subscribe | Newsletter or paid plan signup | Sent | Sent |
Contact | Contact form or similar | Sent | Sent |
Initiate Checkout | Checkout starts | Sent | Sent |
Add to Cart | An item is added to a cart | Sent | Sent |
Add to Wishlist | An item is saved to a wishlist | Sent | Sent |
Complete Registration | Sign-up or registration finishes | Sent | Sent |
Customize Product | Size, color, or similar is chosen | Sent | Sent |
Donate | A donation is made | Sent | Not sent. TikTok has no Donate event. The event still appears in PixelFlow. |
Lead | Interest, such as a lead form | Sent | Sent |
Start Trial | A free trial starts | Sent | Sent |
Submit Application | An application form is submitted | Sent | Sent |
Search | A site search | Sent | Sent |
Location Search | A search for a nearby place | Sent | Sent to TikTok as FindLocation |
Find Location | A physical location is selected or viewed | Sent | Sent |
Schedule | An appointment is booked | Sent | Sent |
Download | A file is downloaded | Not sent. Meta has no Download standard event. The event still appears in PixelFlow. | Sent |
Application Approval | An application is approved (loan, job, enrollment) | Not sent. Meta has no ApplicationApproval standard event. The event still appears in PixelFlow. | Sent |
These events can include value, currency, product details (content id, content name), and user details (name, email, phone) when you send them. Meta and TikTok do not accept every user field the same way. PixelFlow sends the fields each Ad Platform accepts.
How to choose an event
Use the event that matches the action. If a type is not sent to one Ad Platform, pick a type both support when you need that Ad Platform to optimize on it (for example Lead instead of Donate if you only have TikTok connected).
Do not create a second trigger just to reach the other Ad Platform. The same event is offered to every connected Pixel.
