What events can PixelFlow track and send back to Meta?

PixelFlow makes it easy to track the actions people take on your website and send them to Meta for reporting and optimization.

By default, PixelFlow automatically records PageView events whenever someone visits your site. You can then enrich tracking further by adding additional event types that give more detail about user behavior by using custom classes which you can read more about here.

What Events Can Be Tracked by PixelFlow?

In addition to PageView, PixelFlow supports a wide range of standard Meta events. These events can help you understand how users interact with your website and allow Meta to optimize your campaigns more effectively.

Here are the event types you can track - note, you need to setup the tracking for these events by labeling an element on your website with the specific event or by assigning a specific URL to an event:

  • ViewContent: When a user views a product page or important content on your website, such as a product detail, article, or landing page.

  • Purchase: When a customer completes a transaction.

  • Add Payment Info: Fired when a user enters payment details.

  • Subscribe: For newsletter or paid plan subscriptions.

  • Contact: When a user submits a contact form or engages with your business.

  • Initiate Checkout: Fired when a user begins the checkout process.

  • Add to Cart: When a user adds an item to their cart.

  • Add to Wishlist: When a product is saved to a wishlist.

  • Complete Registration: Triggered when a sign-up or registration form is completed.

  • Customize Product: When users configure or customize an item (for example, selecting size or color).

  • Donate: For nonprofit or fundraising contributions.

  • Lead: When someone shows interest in your product or service (for example, submitting a lead form).

  • Start Trial: When a free trial begins.

  • Submit Application: For job, credit, or other application forms.

  • Search: When a user performs a search on your site.

  • Location Search: A specific search for nearby branches or stores.

  • Find Location: When someone selects or views a physical location.

  • Schedule: When a user books an appointment or schedules a service.

These events can be enriched with parameters such as value, currency, and product details to give Meta more context and improve attribution.
